Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Qatar’s largest healthcare provider, announced the launch of the website for Qatar Health 2010 – Qatar’s primary medical and healthcare congress and exhibition. The annual event, scheduled for December 2010, is being organized by HMC to be more comprehensive than ever before. The website contains relevant information about the international medical and healthcare congress, which aims to showcase the latest advances in healthcare research and technology, and to provide an ideal forum for the exchange of world-class expertise by international healthcare professionals.
“The highly successful hosting of Qatar Health 2009 has prompted HMC to make it an annual event. Qatar Health 2010 will be an even bigger event with delegates from more than 20 countries attending the 15 scheduled congress tracks; and more than 100 international companies presenting the latest healthcare technology and services in the exhibition area” according to Dr. AbdulWahab Al Musleh, Vice Chairman of Qatar Health and Deputy Medical Director of HMC.
“This congress offers an innovative platform for medical practitioners and healthcare professionals as well as scientists, educational institutions, industry sponsors and interested members from the general public. The aim is to actively influence the development of the best possible healthcare for the benefit of residents in and outside of Qatar,” Dr. Al Musleh added.
This year’s event has been designed with HMC’s three key pillars in mind: “Health, Education and Research”. Particular emphasis is placed on engaging with students who are aspiring healthcare professionals and who will gain much benefit from attending the scientific, medical and healthcare tracks. Many of the tracks currently being developed have had valuable contributions from internationally renowned experts who are also engaged in Qatar’s world-class educational institutions, as well as HMC’s eminent physicians and allied healthcare practitioners.

Qatar Health 2010 will be held at the Doha International Exhibition Center from December 10-15, 2010. This international medical and healthcare congress and exhibition is considered the first of its kind in the Gulf region.
