The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) lowered the interest rate on Qatari riyal by 0.25 percent to become 4 percent instead of 4.25 percent, reported the Gulf Times on Saturday.
The QCB said the move was aimed at helping economic growth and also to go in line with the US central bank decision to lower the interest rate on the dollar from 3.75 percent to 3.5 percent, since the Qatari riyal was pegged to the US dollar – Albawaba.com
