Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Al Thani received on Wednesday a letter from his Jordanian counterpart Abdel Ilah Khatib, and another from Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz.
Qatar News Agency (QNA) said that Aziz’s letter dealt with “consultations within the framework of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).”
As for the Jordanian letter, QNA said that Khatib “informed Sheikh Hamd on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories.”
Qatar has called for an urgent OIC meeting to discuss the Palestinian issue.
