Qassam brigades swear loyalty to Yahya Sinwar as new Hamas leader

ALBAWABA - Yahya Sinwar, who was recently elevated to the position of chairman of the movement's Political Bureau, has received an official pledge of loyalty from the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, who are the military branch of Hamas organizations. 

In a message that was distributed on Telegram by Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for the Brigades, it was confirmed that the Qassam Brigades are completely dedicated to carrying out Sinwar's commands.

"The Qassam Brigades express their allegiance to Commander Yahya Sinwar and confirm their readiness to follow his orders completely," Abu Ubaida added in his statement.

Furthermore, he noted that the election of Sinwar, who succeeded the late Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in Tehran on July 31st, is a monument to the continuous power and resilience of Hamas. Haniyeh was killed in Tehran.

After the killing of Ismail Haniyeh in the Iranian capital, Hamas made the announcement that Yahya Sinwar would be taking over as the new leader of its Political Bureau.
