In order to enhance the quality of work and service at the Jordanian Customs Department (JCD), PWC Logistics-Jordan organized a one-day introductory seminar on the customs-based MicroClear system which was held on September 26th at the Kempinski Hotel.
Twenty JCD staff members took part in the seminar, which explained the MicroClear application that delivers secure and fast processing of custom-related documentation founded on IT facilities. The system is based on a highly secure, extensive and scalable design and is equipped with a wide range of integral solutions and multi-channel services that will help to modernize and control the Custom Department's daily procedures.
The seminar was attended by the General Director of the Jordanian Customs Department, Engineer Ala'a Bataineh, along with General Manager of PWC Logistics-Jordan, Mr. Hani Rabie.
Two consultants from PWC Logistics in Kuwait and Dubai, Mr. Khaled El Kalliny and Mr. Mohammad Arakal, conducted the seminar demonstrating the program's characteristics and functions as well as reviewed with the participating JCD employees MicroClear's main tasks and utilities.
Mr. Rabie stated, "The main objective of the seminar was to introduce the staff of the Jordanian Customs Department to the advanced capabilities and advantages of MicroClear and the expertise needed to operate the latest hi-tech systems in order to smooth the progress of their work. JCD's staff is required to accomplish intensive clearance on a daily basis and their efforts require extensive accountability and examination, which can be easily applied through the MicroClear system."
