ALBAWABA - Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Beijing on Wednesday. Xi received Putin outside the Great Hall of the People, ahead of their planned talks.
Russia and China announced on Wednesday that they had reached agreements on joint energy projects during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Beijing. Agreements were also reached on a "very important matter," according to Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president, as reported by the TASS news agency.
The Kremlin spokesman said the talks included "promising energy projects." He added, "And other interesting projects in other areas as well."

Putin says Russia and China are increasing the use of national currencies in bilateral trade, thereby protecting trade from external influence
Yuri Ushakov concluded his statement by saying, "We have agreed on something very important."
He confirmed the signing of a declaration on strengthening the comprehensive partnership, noting that the document is a comprehensive political document outlining the main development paths for the multifaceted bilateral relationship between Russia and China, a clear shared vision on pressing issues on the international agenda, and the main forms of interaction in global affairs.
