public invited to view murano sand-sculpture
The artistic design and styling that characterises the Nissan Murano SUV has been celebrated with a unique work of art now on display at Arabian Automobiles Company’s showrooms in Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.
Australian sand-sculptor Jenny Rossen, has spent the past week creating a life-size replica of the Murano, using only sand and water.
The sculpture will remain for six month on display there so that the public can enjoy the skill and artistry that has gone into the project.
Rossen has already drawn large crowds of spectators while working on the sculpture.
“The Murano is the perfect model for Jenny Rossen’s talents,” said Michel Ayat, chief executive of Arabian Automobiles.
“It leads the way in creative expression of automotive design, and as a champion sand-sculptor, Jenny has used a highly-original medium to bring out the style and the character that make the Murano so special.”
Australia’s only master sand-sculptor, Rossen is known as the ‘Sandcastle Girl’ and holds European and USA sand-sculpting titles.
The project is the Murano’s latest involvement in art and style, linking Nissan and AAC to the arts through events and exhibitions that support established artists and encourage new talents.
“We are building on last year’s Murano ‘Sculpture in Motion’ and ‘Murano Xposed’ exhibitions that were very successful in encouraging new talents and professional artists to create art inspired by the Murano design,” said Ayat.
“The Murano sand-sculpture further develops the links between Arabian Automobiles and the arts.”
