The Ministry of Education and Youth has emphasized the benefits of bringing about cooperation between private and government educational institutes.

UAE’s Minister of Education and Youth, Dr. Ali Abdul Aziz Al Sharhan, told principals from a wide range of private schools that there ought to be ongoing attempts between the Ministry and private schools to cooperate in order to upgrade the educational process throughout the country, according to Khaleej Times. The Minister spoke at a meeting held recently at the Ministry.

The meeting was set up in order to review cooperation between private and government institutions. An estimated forty principals from various educational areas in the country attended the meeting.

The Minister highlighted that given the extent of the wider role played by the private education sector, the problems they face are roughly small. He noted that it was very important for the private schools to upgrade their educational performance levels and pursue proposals for the benefit of national and expatriate students.

The principals representing the private schools praised the Ministry's initiative to build a strong relationship with the educational sector and described it as a constructive move. They recommended exchange of expertise between private and government schools and the establishment of a supreme council for private schools, affiliated with the Ministry of Education and Youth.

A committee will be set up this March to discuss the working papers, in an attempt to indeed enrich cooperation between the private schools and the Ministry. (Albawaba.com)
