A senior delegation representing the public and private universities in Chile paid a special visit to Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) last week.
Members of the delegation toured PSUT's premises, and met with its President, Professor Hisham Ghassib, who briefed them on the university's history, its departments and areas of expertise. In addition, he informed them of the achievements that PSUT has accomplished over the recent years, both locally and regionally. Dr. Ghassib, also indicated to PSUT's accords with a number of international universities and companies to develop the scientific and cultural cooperation.
The Chilean delegates expressed their great impression of PSUT's advanced educational standards, considered to be incomparable in Jordan, in terms of ICT development. They showed great interest in enhancing the mutual academic and scientific cooperation with PSUT, especially in fields of exchanging faculty, students and joint research.
Prof. Ghassib welcomed the delegation and expressed PSUT's readiness to cooperate with its Chilean counterparts.
Prof. Ghassib stated, "We consider your visit to Princess Sumaya University for Technology as an international proof and declaration on PSUT's sound and striking reputation on the international scale. We extend our hands to all our friends in Chilean universities to cooperate further on the betterment of scientific and technological advancements between our two countries."
Upon the closing of the meeting, Dr. Ghassib bestowed the Chilean guests with the PSUT's emblem as a kind gesture on the success of their visit to PSUT and a commitment to the upcoming mutual cooperation.
