The Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) recently sent two of its distinguished students to the US to take part in a two-semester exchange program. The program, organized by PSUT and the Urbana-Champaign University of Illinois, USA, is held periodically and in compliance with an agreement of joint cooperation signed between both sides more than eight years ago.
Starting this summer and with financial support from PSUT, both Walid Bashooti from PSUT’s King Hussein School for Information Technology, and Makram Masarwa from PSUT’s King Abdullah II School of Electrical Engineering, will be benefiting from a two semester stay at the Urbana-Champaign University campus. This two semester exchange program promises to grant these students rich hands on experiences and exposure to innovative teaching methodologies. On another level, it will also grant them a healthy cultural exchange that will help enrich their personalities as well as their knowledge.
In compliance with the agreement signed, PSUT also received students from the Urbana-Champaign University in the past. It made great efforts to ensure that their stay at the university was beneficial to them, both academically and culturally. It organized academic and cultural programs for these exchange students, and over the years, this experience proved to be a positive one for all sides involved.
It is important to note that this agreement is only one of the many agreements that PSUT has signed with leading learning institutions from around the globe, since PSUT always strives to look for ways that enhance the educational programs it offers its students.
