Appointment as Head of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission
In the presence of the head of its Board of Trustees, HRH Princess Sumaya Bint El Hassan, the Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) organized an honorary event for the Dean of its King Abdullah II School for Electrical Engineering Prof. Ahmad Hiasat who was recently appointed as the President of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission in Jordan.
The event was attended by members from the University's faculty and administration, all of whom spoke positively of the high level of experience and expertise that Prof. Hiasat has both in academic; which he aquired at PSUT, and in corporate fields that will prove to be beneficial to him in his new post.
Commenting on his new promotion, HRH Princess Sumaya Bint El Hassan said; "I am so proud that a PSUT faculty member has gotten such a prominent post, I hope that his appointment would help in bridging the gap between academia and the telecommunication sector. I wish Dr. Hiasat all the luck in his new post as head of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission."
It is important to note that Dr. Hiasat had served PSUT for ten years. He was one of the founders of the King Abdullah II School for Electrical Engineering at the University and was appointed its dean in the year 2004. He is the holder of a Doctorate Degree in the field of Systems Engineering, which he had -Continued-
obtained from Oakland University, and he is also a holder of a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, which he had obtained from the University of Jordan.
