HRH Princess Adelah bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud the president of the National Home Health Care Foundation in the Western Region, unveiled a number of internal and external hospital programs that the Foundation organizes for its cared-for children patient. Also Her Royal Highness indicated that the National Home Health Care Foundation donated many gifts and also organized trips and visits to many entertainment centers for children patients suffering and their family members.
In her speech Her Royal Highness indicated that the National Home Health Care Foundation had recently received Modhesh, the lovable Dubai Summer Surprises Mascot, during his GCC-wide tour culminating in Jeddah. Modhesh met up with more than 50 patients with age ranging from toddlers to 12 years olds at the King Abdulaziz Hospital – Tumor Center. Modhesh’s visit also coincided with the weekly internal hospital entertainment program that the National Home Health Care Foundation hosts for the benefit of all their patients in region. Modhesh distributed lots of goodies and gifts, and left priceless happy memories with the children in Saudi Arabia.
Her Royal Highness also clarified that among the Foundation's programs there are were "Tahgig Omniah and Tmsah Damah" programs which were launched lunched recently with the a participation of volunteers and social experts from the Foundation. To date the National Home Health Care has given out over 4500 gifts to their children patient with cancer as part of their humanitarian program to lessen their anxiety when attending their treatment sessions at the hospital, Hundreds of children have benefited from the program that was launched in December 2002 and continues to this day.
The National Home Health Care Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides free medical and social services to maximize the quality of life at home for Saudi patients in need. The National Home Health Care Foundation was established under the auspices of Her Royal Highness Princess Hussa Al Shalaan, wife of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Foundation acts as a bridge between needy patients and the community through fund raising events and projects to ensure the continuity of Home Healthcare services to the needy.
