Prince Raad bin Zeid, President of the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities (HCAPD), toured the construction site of the Central Business District of Amman, Abdali, to look over the construction of the environmental access facilities for persons with disabilities implemented at Abdali as per the Jordanian National Building Codes.

To ensure that all buildings and facilities are easily accessible within the Central Business District, a strict environmental access for persons with disabilities code had been adopted and that contractually binds all developers and contractors within the Abdali project. The main elements in the environmental access for persons with disabilities code include that all facilities have entry and exit ramps, in addition to strategically placed pathways, stairs and escalators, and specialized toilets and parking spots available all over the project with rigorous periodical inspection by Abdali engineers and architects to ascertain that all rules and regulations were strictly enforced.

He toured the various areas of the project, paying special attention to facilities intended to assist persons with disabilities, mentioning that: "the Council is diligently working to bring about the developments needed to place Jordan at the forefront of environmental access for persons with disabilities in the workplace, stressing on the importance of encouraging the public and private sectors to work together in order to bring about required changes enabling persons with disabilities to live up to their true potential."

Upon completion of his tour, Prince Raad bin Zeid added: "We are very proud of the economic and touristic prosperity that this project will bring Jordan, but we are even more proud of the fact that Abdali has taken into consideration amenities that cater for persons with disability and who will be an essential part of this vibrant city center."

Mouhib Itani, CEO of Abdali Psc., stated that he was "honored by His Royal Highness's gracious visit" and reaffirmed "Abdali's commitment to developing business, leisure and entertainment spaces that are accessible to everyone and that reflect the hopes and dreams of Jordanians."
