18 Islamic extremists were killed Sunday in two separate incidents in the latest wave of violence in Algeria, reported the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA), quoting local press.
The “Le quotidian Doron” said that 11 extremists were killed in a campaign carried out by the army Saturday night in Mesharaa al-Safa at Tirat district, 250 kilometers south west the capital Algiers.
In a separate incident, the daily El-Khabar said that seven extremists were killed in an operation carried out by the army in Zaytouna municipality in al-Qil area north east the country in response to the assassination of a civil defense member Saturday – Albawaba.com
