Presidents of GCC Institutions of Higher Education

Dubai Men’s College yesterday received Presidents, Vice-presidents and Directors of GCC institutions of Higher Education who were participating in the GCC Institutions Meeting held on Zayed University's Dubai Campus.  

The delegation of visitors which included leaders from educational institutions across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait, met to address and discuss various issues related to the higher education sector.  Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim, Vice President of Zayed University, accompanied them during their visit to the Dubai Men’s College.
Members of the delegation were met by Dr. Bob Richards, Senior Director of Dubai Men’s College, and other members of the management.  He gave them a short presentation about the HCT and the important role that it plays in the UAE in providing the community with high quality graduates.  The visitors also watched a short documentary which highlighted the HCT’s 21-year history of providing excellent education for nationals.
The delegation went on a tour of the college visiting the various departments of education and the different facilities of the college which are considered to be state-of-the-art in the region.  They met with both students and faculty and discussed with them the wide range of programs that are offered by the college.
“It is our pleasure to receive leaders of GCC institutions of higher education to share our experiences and discuss best practices.  This cooperation is of great importance to the development of higher education in the region. It also plays a significant role in the achievement of international accreditation,” said Dr. Richards.
