Libyan President Colonel Moamer Kadhafi held talks with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika in Tripoli Monday on various Arab and international issues, as well as bilateral ties, officials said.
The two leaders are also expected to review Tripoli's threat to withdraw from the Arab League over its alleged lack of action over Israel's military response to the Palestinian uprising and American aims to overthrow the Baghdad government.
Libya told the 22-member pan-Arab group it wanted to pull out late last month, however has apparently agreed to put the threat on hold amidst diplomatic efforts to convince it to reconsider, AFP said.
