Porsche Middle East and Africa, the regional office of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is pleased to announce the finalization of a sponsorship agreement with the Dubai Exiles Rugby Football Club (Dubai Exiles RFC). With this Porsche has marked an important step to support the local sports culture for the duration of three years.

The Dubai Exiles RFC is a well-established organization founded in 1968 with approx. 1,000 members of which 550 are active players. Its home base is the Sevens Rugby Stadium on the outskirts of Dubai. Throughout the years, the Club has significantly promoted Dubai's sport and leisure environment with the foundation of the Dubai Rugby Sevens, participation in regional tournaments and the regular highly anticipated derbies between Dubai's teams and the players of the Abu Dhabi Harlequins Rugby Club.

Deesch Papke, Managing Director of Porsche Middle East and Africa, is pleased to contribute to this socially responsible organization. He states: "It is important to support the local sports culture and community lifestyle. The Dubai Exiles RFC arranges activities for all ages and gender. Children and adults should stay active for their health and doing this in a fun yet competitive environment, where families spend time together and friendships are made for life, is a pleasure."

Mike Wolff, Chairman of the Dubai Exile RFC, adds to this: "We are proud to welcome Porsche Middle East & Africa as one of our main sponsors to our organization. It is great to see that a company such as Porsche appreciates our efforts to enhance the local and regional sports culture."

The sponsorship agreement is valid until the completion of the 2013/2014 season which ends in August 2014.
