Police Command and Control: Dealing with Disaster

Brigadier Dr. Mohammad bin Fahad, Director General of Dubai Police Academy will be discussing how a strong economy thrives in a secure country, at the Police and Fire Middle East Seminar, scheduled from January 13 - 15  2008 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Brigadier Fahad, aside from being director general of Dubai Police Academy is also the Chairman and General Coordinator of the Shaikh Zayed Prize for the Environment. At the conference, he will speak on the subject of “Police Command and Control: Dealing with Disaster”.

In the Policing and Homeland Security section at Intersec Middle East, prominent speakers and experts will speak on the following subjects: “Policing in Conflict Zones: Palestine ,”  “A European Perspective of Effective Policing”, “Emergency Services Response and the Management of Disasters”, “The Development of Air Support in Police Operations”, “Planning and Preparing for Major Incidents Involving The Transport Sector”.

Brigadier Fahad earlier called for giving priority to setting up of a mechanism of cooperation between public and private sectors in order to achieve a level of security which meets international standards.

The transport system is undergoing rapid development throughout the region. On 15th January, an expert panel of speakers will speak about the most progressive solutions for safe-guarding and preventing accidents, for the different means of transportation, including – marine, aviation, and rail.

As the only conference dedicated to homeland security and policing in the Middle East, this event provides attendees with an opportunity to learn what technology and experienced leaders provide for the benefit of protecting operations, and a chance for them to have their needs met and concerns addressed.
