Platinum Yachts, a subsidiary of Dubai World Company Dry Docks World is sponsoring the 2nd annual Yacht & Luxury Boat Conference – Gulf Region to being held in Dubai today (December 4) and tomorrow (December 5).

The sponsorship reflects Platinum Yachts’ awareness of the economic developments witnessed in the Gulf region, making the AGCC countries a regional and international attraction centre for the yacht and luxury boat industry and related services.
“In the light of higher living standards and the growth of the maritime industry, and the real estate, infrastructure and port sectors, demand on yachts has taken a new direction. It is essential now for us to be present in such events so as to remain in touch with the growing demand, and the yacht maintenance, re-equipment and other services,” said Kostis Antonopoulos Rothschild, Managing Director of Platinum Yachts.

The Yacht & Luxury Boat Conference will address a number of topics which are of importance for Platinum Yachts such as financial and legal issues, ownership systems, insurance, time share, training, security and registration, and difficulties facing Arab and foreign investors in the local and global markets.
