P&G Beauty brands receive highly coveted VIVA Beauty Awards
Wella Koleston and Braun Satin Hair receive honours at prestigious awards ceremony
P&G Beauty brands Wella and Braun Satin Hair were named as VIVA readers’ ultimate beauty products at the VIVA Beauty Awards 2008 in association with Faces. Wella Koleston was named Best Hair Colourant, while Braun Satin Hair was triumphant in the Best Curling Iron category and runner-up for Best Straightener.
The ceremony, held at the Monarch hotel in Dubai honoured the most premium beauty brands in the Middle East, with the winners selected by a panel of beauty experts from the fields of hair, skincare and make-up.
In the category of Best Hair Colourant, Wella Koleston, the premium brand of home colouring products was chosen as winner. For over 50 years, Koleston has been providing women with luscious hair colour from the comfort of their homes.
The latest product offering from Braun Hair Care, the Satin Hair range, walked away with two prizes in the Hair Tools category. The Braun Satinstyler curler won Best Curling Irons, while the Braun Satinliner hair straightener was named runner-up for Best Straightener.
The Satin Hair range features unique Satin Protect™ features which protect hair texture and length. Additionally technological advancements include Braun Satin Ion Technology™, which tames and naturally conditions hair by releasing a stream of negatively charged satin ions simply at the touch of a button. These satin ions are attracted by the positively charged frizz sitting in the hair and envelop every single strand. This natural conditioning reveals outstanding shine and the amazing smoothness of satin hair.
Peder Spensclason, P&G Beauty spokesperson, commented on the awards, saying, “We are honoured that the panel of beauty experts from VIVA have chosen Wella and Braun as the winners in their categories. At P&G Beauty, we are constantly striving to create innovative products, but ultimately, it is about reaching our consumers and being able to make a difference in improving their lives.”
