The jailed chief of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) demanded that the Palestinian Authority release him.
"I demand they put an end to my detention," Ahmad Sadat told the Dubai-based Arab satellite news channel, the Middle East Broadcasting Center (MBC), in a phone interview from his jail cell in the West Bank city of Jericho.
"I am detained at Israel's request, in a Palestinian prison under the guard of an American-British team," Saadat said. "My freedom is dependent on the Palestinian Authority's readiness to take a clear and courageous decision," he said.
Saadat also said he would not be surprised if Israel attacked him and the five other activists jailed under international guard in Jericho since late May 1. "All possibilities are open. Israel does not miss any chance to attack and kill any Palestinian fighters and not just Ahmad Saadat," he said. (Albawaba.com)
