PEN club defends Morocco freedom of expression

Moroccan sociologist and writer, Abdelkebir Khatibi, president of the Moroccan PEN Club, part of the international PEN Club (a world association of writers created in 1921) indicated that one of the missions of this institution is to defend the freedom of expression.

 

<i>EMarrakech</i> reports that in an interview held with "The Morning of the Sahara and the Maghreb" newspaper, published on Friday, Khatibi stressed that the Moroccan PEN club also works to ensure the presence of Moroccan writers on the international scene and to promote the national Moroccan culture and inheritance.
