With almost half the votes counted, Turkey's ruling AK is on track to win back its parliamentary majority and form a government without a coalition, Reuters reported, citing a broadcast from state-run TRT television.

A partial vote showed the AKP had won 53.2 percent of the votes counted. Runner-up opposition CHP held 20.7 percent of the votes, and nationalist MHP and pro-Kurdish HDP both held 11.0 percent, Reuters reported TRT as saying.

Votes from Turkey's most populous cities had not been tallied at the time of reporting, leaving room for results to change significantly.
