Parisian petals bring french flair to dubai

Original European florists display designs to suit every wedding at
The Bride Show Dubai

A perfect wedding is comprised of a plethora of elements.  Creating a unique and inspiring atmosphere to mark the first day as husband and wife can be challenging when one has to consider the fashion, beauty, venue, music and guests.  Flowers can be the ideal accessory to fuse the entire wedding experience, the perfect frame for the bride and groom.

Those searching for a unique ambiance will find two of the most original florists in the world displaying their creations at The Bride Show, taking place at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre until Saturday 26 April.

Space & Flower, run by a husband and wife team, Virginie and Olivier Dolz, who recently relocated from Paris to Dubai in October 2007, is making a huge impact on discerning customers who want to step away from traditional flower arrangements and take a fresh new look at how flowers can enhance any event.

“Having visited Dubai for a family wedding, we saw a gap in the market for beautiful floral arrangements with simplicity at its core,” said Virginie Dolz, the creative force behind the company.  “We cater to all weddings and all budgets but the sky is the limit in terms of imagination and design.”

Another Parisian import to the UAE bridal industry is Dellisse, an award winning chocolatier and floral creation company.  Specialising in customised, one-of-a-kind, handmade chocolates and floral arrangements, Dellisse have brought their unique and glamorous services to the largest bridal event in the Middle East.

Isabelle Jaouen, originally a lawyer in Paris, is using The Bride Show Dubai as a launch pad for Dellisse’s newest, most eccentric product yet, “Rose Truffles.” A fusion of white chocolate, almonds and rose petals, this haute couture of chocolates is sure to make a wedding the talk of the town.

Dellisse’s floral creations won’t take a backseat to their tasty treats either, with unusual materials, such as macaroni, cement and milk, all having recently been utilised to make one of a kind concepts.  These are flowers that make a statement, as seen when the distinguishing arrangements were included in the catwalk show finale of local wedding dress designer, Arushi, which saw models wearing ‘organic’ veils.

Brides to be have one more day to find their perfect flowers and chocolates at The Bride Show, as well as enjoy more than 400 exhibitors from 13 countries, displaying European wedding dresses, international jewellery, perfume, and fashion accessories.

The Bride Show Dubai, organised by IIR Middle East, is a four-day showcase of haute couture fashion, luxury wedding products and all the services necessary for a bride’s big day.

Women’s Healthcare and Al Bayt Al Arabie, the UAE’s only Arabian home show, run alongside The Bride Show.  All three exhibitions are open to the public from 2.30pm-10.30pm, attracting women who are interested in fashion, luxury and wellbeing.
