Paramount Computer Systems, the leading regional provider of products and services for securing the Information Assets of Enterprises in the Middle East, today announced the opening of its branch office in Muscat. This latest addition takes the number of Paramount offices across the region to six including its headquarters in Dubai and branch offices in Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and now Oman.
Mr. Premchand Kurup, CEO Paramount Computer Systems says, “So far we have been supporting clients in Oman from our Dubai office and have been able to secure some significant wins. We realised that our kitchen needs to be close to the dining table of our customers – a fundamental pre-requisite for a customer-centric company and hence the decision to open an office in Muscat. The new office is testimony to our commitment to our customers who reposed their confidence in us even when we did not have ground support”.
Inspite of the current recessionary market conditions where companies are scaling back operations, Paramount is expanding its regional presence as it believes that there is a continuous and increasing need for IT security. “Hackers and criminals do not take rest during a recession,” says Premchand. “We are very bullish about our growth prospects in Oman and expect to secure early wins as we are the only company dedicated to information security with a three-pronged people-process-technology combination. Paramount’s current employee strength is 80 people in the region with over 53 technical/process consultants and engineers making it probably the largest Information Security company in the Arabian Gulf Region. Employee certifications include among others – CISA, CISM, CISSP, CGEIT, ISO 27001, IS0 20000, CCNA, and various technology vendor certifications from Juniper, McAfee, RSA-EMC, Blue Coat, Websense, Tipping Point, Barracuda and others.
There will be an initial start-up team of 3 in Oman and Paramount will ramp up ground support in the country as the business scales upwards.
