Panasonic offers customers ‘ideas for life’ with latest range of Business System Solutions at GITEX Dubai 2005

Panasonic, the leading global manufacturer of business solutions and consumer electronics, presents the latest range of Business System Solutions at GITEX Dubai 2005. The new range is based on Panasonic’s vision of ‘ubiquitous networking’ to create a more convenient and affluent society where all homes and businesses are networked to each other.

Speaking at the event, Seiji Koyanagi, Managing Director, Panasonic Marketing Middle East FZE, said, “Developing digitally networked products is central to Panasonic’s vision to create powerful new ideas for life. Our new range of business solutions use digital networking technologies to ease our customers’ personal and professional lives. At GITEX Dubai 2005, we have displayed an exciting range of products that will strengthen our position as leading providers of business system and audio-visual products.”

“The exhibition offers immense networking possibilities, helping us to establish new strategic partnerships and achieve our business goals in the region. GITEX being a central showpiece for global IT players, Panasonic is sparing no efforts to register a strong presence through a series of products that use technology to innovate and add value”, he added.

Panasonic is presenting a full range of its digital technology-driven solutions in the field of display devices, security systems, office equipment and communications.

In the Plasma Display Panel (PDP) segment, Panasonic will put on show the 100” DLPTM Box with a built-in High luminance and a High contrast Panasonic DLPTM projector. The DLPTM box offers clear and vivid image even from a distance and is ideal for information display, presentations, and broadcast stations and as main monitor for a big system console.

Panasonic will also display its latest models of home-cinema projectors during the exhibition. The PT-AE900, Hollywood 3rd generation home cinema projector, features a high contrast ratio of 5,500:1 and a brightness of 1,100 lumens. Panasonic will also showcase PT-LB20 and PT-LB30 with unique Daylight View Technology that improves color perception in bright rooms and enhances image performance by more than 1.5 times compared to higher lumens projector in brightly lit environment.

Panasonic will exhibit its total entrance-to-exit security system components at Gitex this year, from cameras, to digital recorders, monitors and network interface units. Their new range of home safety cameras boast a variety of unique features such as Color night view mode, Human detection sensor, SD memory card compatibility for time laps recording and IPv6 networking ability to transfer data securely.

The wireless camera monitoring system for Panasonic network cameras will also be displayed during GITEX Dubai 2005.  This innovation from Panasonic bridges the gap between the analog and IP video worlds. Compatible with all current Panasonic network camera models, the new BL-WV10 TV adaptor enables users to view images captured by up to eight network cameras and to view up to four cameras on the television screen simultaneously. These cameras can be remotely controlled while viewing the image.

Panasonic has also developed a high-speed home power line IP networking technology capable of high-definition video transmission. This new PLC technology makes it possible to provide broadband connectivity to every room in a house via existing home power lines using the BL-PA100 adaptor that contains a power plug, a LAN connector and an LSI chipset that converts broadband signals into electric signals that can be transmitted over a power line thus providing audio, video and data networking capabilities.

The company will also showcase the new GigaRange Digital Cordless Phones and GigaRange Cordless phone with Fax for home or home-office use, with digital sound for clear and secure conversation. The flagship model in the cordless phone range, KX-TG1895, comes with a 1.8 inch full-graphic colour display, infrared port for wireless data exchange and PC link capability with USB interface. Another salient product is the     KX-FC241CX which combines a plain paper fax machine, with six GigaRange digital cordless phones and a digital answering machine, all in one space-saving unit.

Also, in its office solutions range, the company will be showcasing the new range of 1.2kg, light weight W4 Toughbook PCs. The PCs have an ultra-thin design with Full Magnesium Alloy case to bear 100kg pressure and a shock mounted hard disk drive (HDD). Panasonic will add its first color digital imaging system in the Workio line-up at GITEX this year. The DP-C322 ( B/W 32 ppm, color 21 ppm) and DP-C262 (B/W 26 ppm ,color 21 ppm) are high-end color MFP best suited for all workgroups. It is powered by Panasonic’s unique IH technology to realize the industry –fastest warm-up time of 15 secs.

Panasonic will also be displaying its new range of VIERA plasma TVs and LUMIX digital cameras launched recently, in line with their corporate strategy of a simultaneous worldwide launch. The “VIERA” series boast a new G8 Plasma panel and VIERA Colour Management System with 8.6 billion on-screen colours available in screen sizes in the range of 37 inch to 65 inch.

In the digital camera segment, the new models in the compact LUMIX camera line-up include the fashionable 5.0-megapixel DMC-FX8, the 6.0-megapixel 3x Optical Zoom DMC-FX9, the 8.0-megapixel 12x Optical Zoom DMC-FZ30 and the 8.4-Megapixel World’s First 16:9 CCD with 28 mm Wide Angle Lens DMC-LX1. The new models boast superior performance and compactness. Panasonic’s distinctive MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) technology helps prevent shaky pictures.

After pioneering the SD card, the digital bridge between IT and AV (audiovisual products), Panasonic is expanding its SD Memory Card line up, with the addition of 2GB SD Memory Card (up to 20MB/s data transfer rate) in the ‘PRO HIGH SPEED’ Series, and the 512MB miniSD™ Card (up to 2MB/s data transfer rate) in the miniSD Card line up.
