Company to use the show’s platform to highlight its role as worldwide partner of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games
Panasonic is keen on using the GITEX platform to highlight the company’s role as a sponsor of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Panasonic will play an active part during the mega sporting event and will use its state-of-the-art broadcasting systems to record and transmit the action as and when it happens.
A highlight of Panasonic’s participation at GITEX Technology Week will be the launch of a new range of full high definition (HD) Viera plasma TVs from 65 inch to 42 inch and the launch of a 10.1 mega pixel digital SLR camera - DMC-L10 - which boasts of a unique live view function. All of this under the theme ‘Living in high-definition’.
Atsushi Hinoki, General Manager, Corporate Communications, Panasonic Marketing Middle East said, “Our presence at GITEX this year is going to be bigger than ever before, which will be evident from the size of our exhibition stand at the venue. Panasonic has a lot to offer this GITEX, including several product launches and display of a host of latest offerings across product categories. Our focus will once again be on high definition products, especially flat panel displays and cameras. We hope to create a buzz with our new range of Viera plasma TVs and our latest cameras that will be launched at the event. During the exhibition, we will also be launching a 16GB SD memory card for the first time in the Middle East.”
“Panasonic is also keen to leverage the reach and popularity of GITEX to highlight our role in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the sporting extravaganza we have been closely involved with since 1988,” he added.
At GITEX, Panasonic will showcase its new high definition 3CCD camcorders, the HDC-SD5 and HDC-SX5, designed to keep pace with the continued evolution towards high definition. The camcorders record beautiful images with clear, high-quality sound that makes for exceptional viewing on today's most advanced home theatres. Both the HDC-SD5 and HDC-SX5 can record full-HD video with 1920 x 1080 pixels and feature Panasonic's original 3CCD camera system and advanced O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), which let users record clear, blur-free images with vibrant colours.
During GITEX, Panasonic will also be displaying its latest additions to the LUMIX family of digital still cameras – the DMC-FZ18, FX33 and FX55. These three cameras are the first Panasonic digital cameras to offer the revolutionary Intelligent Auto Mode, which include Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Selector and Continuous Auto-focus functions, allowing users to easily capture clear, professional-quality images in any situation or setting.
