Palm Marine makes its mark at the Kuwait Boat Show
Dubai’s leading luxury yacht builder, Palm Marine, generated significant interest among Kuwaiti buyers at the recently held Kuwait International Boat Show.
The company’s current leisure line, featuring the Palm Sports cruisers, Palm Islander Flybridge yachts and Palm Fisher sports fishing yachts, has proved to be very popular with boating aficionados.
Potential buyers in Kuwait have made yacht bookings with the company during the boat show, which will be finalized in the coming months. At the Dubai International Boat show held earlier this year, Palm Marine sold seven boats with a combined value of more than $10 million.
Speaking about the company’s booming sales, Harald Schlegel, Business Development Manager, Palm Marine stated: “We are proud of the growth Palm Marine has achieved during the past few months. We have had tremendous success at the recently held Dubai International Boat Show and, as anticipated our offerings created a similar response from buyers in Kuwait as well.”
Mr. Schlegel explained that the Kuwaiti marine market is currently in the midst of a boom. “Kuwait is a market for true marine enthusiasts and boat-lovers. There are more registered boats and yachts in Kuwait than anywhere else in the GCC. There are approximately 30,000 registered boats in Kuwait which is nearly 10 times the number of boats registered in Dubai.”
“The growth in the marine industry is being fuelled by an unprecedented demand in the market, as evidenced at the recent Kuwait Boat Show. We look forward to our participation at the show again next year. It is only going to get bigger and bolder and we are certain we can surpass this year’s results,” Mr. Schlegel added.
Held in Al-Kout resort, the Kuwait Boat Show International (KBSI), a product of Knotika Holding, hosted more than 100 specialized companies exhibiting their latest sea crafts for leisure as well as maritime accessories and equipment.
Palm Marine has aligned with leading global yacht designers to produce qualitative, modern and elegantly styled luxury yachts and commercial crafts under the leadership of CEO Simon Honeybone. The company recently merged with sister concern Exomos and offers the most modern elegantly styled boats for commercial and personal use.
