Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories on Thursday commemorated the Palestinian Nakba (Catastrophe) of 1948.  The main demonstration to mark the Nakba was held in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

According to WAFA, Jewish settlers attacked a number of Palestinians in Hebron. At the same time, 15 settlers attacked Palestinians in Yatta near Hebron.

In the Gaza Strip, Hamas prevented the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) from holding a ceremony. According to AFP, a PLO committee said in a statement that Hamas police had prevented the group from holding any events, slamming the decision as "a violation of political and democratic rights." Eyewitnesses said Hamas police were deployed in the centre of Gaza City, preventing any public gathering.
