A Palestinian tried to set off a bomb in a supermarket in the West Bank settlement of Efrat. A shopper shot and killed the attacker.
Eli Shiran, the supermarket manager, told Israel Radio that the man set off a small bomb in the store, crowded with shoppers. He said a shopper pulled a gun and shot the attacker twice, killing him.
Other witnesses said the man began shooting at the customers and did not manage to detonate the explosive device he was carrying.
Last Saturday a Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up at a shopping center in the settlement of Karnei Shomron, killing two teen-agers. (Albawaba.com)
