Police reported a young Palestinian man stabbled an ultra-Orthodox Jew on Sunday, AFP reported.
The suspect is an 18-year-old Palestinian who was "illegal in Israel" and taken in for questioning. The wounds were not life-threatening, officials said.
The incident took place somewhere between the Old City and the western sector's city hall, according to the AFP.
The Israeli was stabbed in the stomach with a knife and was taken to a hospital in a "light to moderate condition."
