Jordan's King Abdullah Wednesday affirmed his support to the Palestinian Authority, to Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen)'s government, and to the steps that have been taken to implement the roadmap. The monarch said during talks he held with Abu Mazen that Israel has to take practical steps to implement the peace process, end the occupation, release the Palestinian prisoners, and to take procedures to facilitate Palestinians' movement and improve
their living conditions.
On his part, Abbas said that the Palestinian government took many initiatives to achieve security, but he stressed that Israel must take similar initiatives on the ground to build trust and support the roadmap, Petra reported.
The Jordanian king expressed his hope that the discussions which will be held between the Palestinian Prime Minister and USA President George Bush on Friday will come up with positive results. (Albawaba.com)
