Palestinian leader sends letter to UAE President

UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan received Sunday a letter from Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, dealing with the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories. 

 

The letter was delivered to Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs by Khalid Malik, Palestinian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, according to Gulf News

 

For his part, Sheikh Hamdan re-affirmed the UAE's commitment in supporting the just Palestinian struggle. 

 

"The UAE, under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed, remains firmly committed to the just cause of the Palestinian people until they regain their full rights, including the right to establish their independent state, with Jerusalem as its capital," Sheikh Hamdan told the Palestinian envoy. 

 

Sheikh Hamdan asked the Palestinian ambassador to convey the greetings of Sheikh Zayed to Yasser Arafat. (Albawaba.com)
