Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat praised on Monday Saudi Arabia's support to the just struggle of the Palestinian people and the restoration of their usurped rights including the right to establish an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.

In a statement to the official Saudi Press Agency, Arafat stressed the importance of the efforts exerted by the Saudi Kingdom in strengthening the stand of the Palestinian people in all aspects; whether political, economic or moral.

"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made the Palestinian cause one of its priority especially the Holy Quds, the capital of the Palestinian state," Arafat said.

The Palestinian leader further hailed the efforts of the Saudi Committee for the Support of Al-Quds Intifada, which is headed by Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister and the Committee's General Supervisor, as it has offered distinguished contributions in the process of lifting the misery of a great number of Palestinian families through its programs, which covered many areas, the agency concluded.
