An Israeli soldier was lightly injured Thursday by a hand grenade reportedly thrown by Palestinians at Israeli troops along the Israel-Egypt border in the Gaza Strip, reported Haaretz newspaper.
The paper said that “since 11:00 am this morning, Palestinians have thrown eleven hand grenades at Israeli army engineering units working in the area near Rafah.”
The units are working to find and block underground tunnels “used by Palestinians to smuggle large quantities of firearms and ammunition - and also people,” said the paper – Albawaba.com
