Palestinian Muhanad Maher Al Asliya, who had gone through treatment for a period of half a year in London at the expense of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Nahyan, Wife of UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Chairperson of the UAE Women's Federation and Honorary President of the UAE Red Crescent Society (RCS), arrived in Abu Dhabi Saturday. The child was accompanied by his father.
Sheikha Fatima took care of the child's treatment expenses as part of her humanitarian initiative to provide medical treatment for injured Palestinians in the continuous Intifada against the Israeli occupation.
The father of Muhanad Maher extended his thanks to UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Sheikha Fatima and the UAE Government and people for their support of the Palestinian cause and for alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people, according to Gulf News.
Furthermore, he hailed the facilities and services provided to wounded Palestinians throughout UAE's hospitals. He described Sheikha Fatima’s gesture as a leading and remarkable position in supporting the Palestinians. (Albawaba.com)
