In Qalqilya, Israeli soldiers arrested a leading Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) activist, Muhammad Jabber. Palestinian sources said Jabber was apprehended during Israeli searches at the town's Waqf offices.

Late Sunday, Israeli media reported last week's army raid in PA's Preventive Security compound at the Gaza Strip had uncovered internal Hamas documents that revealed the resistance group had been trying to use talks in Cairo this month with Fatah to build its own relations with Egypt.

The Hamas documents show the group did not intend to stop attacks on Israeli targets at talks that ended November 13, but was looking to present itself as a viable alternative to the PA in the eyes of Egyptian officials, Israeli television and Haaretz reported. (Albawaba.com)
