Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian man the army said had approached a border fence in the Gaza Strip, a military official said.
An army spokeswoman told Ma'an that soldiers based on the border shot and killed one Palestinian and arrested another after the two approached the fence suspiciously.
The official said they had ignored warnings to turn around, and the soldiers opened fire to protect themselves.
