Pakistan’s President, Pervez Musharraf is scheduled to begin an official visit to Saudi Arabia next week, in the framework of a Gulf tour that would also take him to the United Arab Emirates.
The Saudi Ukaz daily quoted Pakistani sources as saying that Musharraf would hold talks with the Saudi Crown Prince and top Saudi officials on the latest developments in the Indian subcontinent as well as bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Pakistan and means to develop them.
The Saudi-Pakistani talks are expected to focus on the current crisis between Pakistan and India and international efforts exerted to ease the escalating tension, the sources added.
The Pakistani President's visit to Saudi Arabia was initially scheduled for May, however was postponed due to his country's tension with India. (Albawaba.com)
