The Government of Pakistan has not sent or sponsored the visit of any delegation to Israel, spokesperson of the Pak Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Friday while responding to a question of a reporter regarding the visit of an unofficial delegation from Pakistan to Israel.
Ms Tasnim Aslam stated that the Government of Pakistan has not sent or sponsored the visit by any delegation to Israel. An official delegation from Pakistan was scheduled to visit Gaza Strip and the West Bank in November 2005, the spokesperson added. The visit, however, was postponed along with other official or officially sponsored visits abroad in the wake of 8th October earthquake, she said.
Reports in Pakistani and Israeli media suggested that a delegation of more than 150 members had traveled to Israel. The delegation may have gone on its own, Tasnim Aslam said.
