The Palestinian Authority prevented 17 "terror" attacks against Israel during its first month of self-rule in the Gaza Strip, according to statistics published Saturday night by the Palestinian Interior Ministry.
In that time, the PA has also found 75 explosives, confiscated 15 home-made Qassam rockets and halted seven attempts to smuggle goods across the Egyptian border, according to the report.
In this regard, PA Interior Ministry spokesman Tawfik abu-Husa told Ynet Sunday morning that PA forces would "continue their efforts to maintain law and order and ensure PA decisions are being respected."
Abu-Husa added the Palestinians had conveyed Israel of the latest counter-terror successes.
