Over 30 missing after devastating landslide in southwest China’s Sichuan province

According to Xinhua News Agency, at least 10 homes were destroyed in the catastrophe.

ALBAWABA- A landslide in Yibin, southwest China’s Sichuan Province, has left over 30 people missing, local authorities confirmed on Saturday. Two people have been rescued so far, while search efforts continue.

The disaster struck Jinping Village in Junlian County around 11:50 a.m. Beijing time, burying multiple houses and trapping residents. 

According to Xinhua News Agency, at least 10 homes were destroyed in the catastrophe.
Rescue operations are underway, with emergency teams racing against time to locate survivors. 

Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for an all-out effort to search for those missing and provide immediate relief.
