More than 20 exporters, representing 200 companies, are preparing to assess and discuss opportunities for Brazilian products and services within the Arab markets during Brasil Trade Middle East (BTME) 2010, the multi-industry trade show which opens on May 9, 2010 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai Festival City and runs until May 11, 2010.
Arabs are highly attracted to the diversity and quality of Brazil’s numerous products and services, with the Gulf’s trade with the South American country reaching USD 6.3 billion in 2009. As the ninth largest economy in the world, according to International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the largest in South America, Brazil has successfully grown in many diverse sectors, with various industries ranging from automobiles, construction materials and consumer durables to furniture and decoration and food and beverages. Brasil Trade Middle East 2010 will facilitate a mix of networking sessions and corporate presentations to match Brazilian businesses with the unique needs of existing and potential Arab clients.
“Brazil has successfully diversified its economy to ensure its balanced and sustainable growth; Arab countries are applying the same approach and are interested in making Brazil a key partner in their own commercial and economic growth agendas. In just a few days businesses and decision makers from the Middle East will have access to a wealth of information on opportunities from Brazil, strengthen old ties and forge new ones as they place Brazil on top of their list of priority sources of products and services,” said Alessandro Teixeira, President of Apex-Brasil, organiser of Brasil Trade Middle East 2010.
Brasil Trade Middle East 2010 will treat Brazilian exporters, local UAE investors and hosted buyers to special presentations and one-on-one meetings. A special hosted buyer’s program will be conducted for major importers from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon as well. This first edition of Brasil Trade Middle East will be organized by Apex-Brasil, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency.
