Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance and Industry Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum has received in Dubai Paul O'Neil, U.S. Secretary of Treasury.
Sheikh Hamdan and the visiting US high-ranking official discussed a number of issues that included reinforcement of cooperation between financial institutions in the UAE and US, in a manner that would serve the best interests of the two countries as well as global stability, according to WAM.
Secretary O'Neil, for his part, thanked Sheikh Hamdan for the efforts exerted by the UAE to trace and freeze terrorist assets in light of the September 11 attacks in the United States. (Albawaba.com)
