Two men disguised as women rammed their vehicle into the National Security Agency's headquarters in Fort Meade, Md., leaving one dead and one injured, NBC reported Monday.
Police responded to the threat by opening fire, shooting one of the men dead and injuring the other, according to CNN.
CBS said a vehicle rammed the gate, where guards began shooting and at least one person was shot. Local law enforcement told media two men tried to enter the spying agency's headquarters. A spokesman for Fort Meade told AP two people are being treated for injuries but doesn't know how they were hurt.
Video showed at least one person in uniform had been wheeled onto a stretcher, CBS reported. In the aerial footage, two vehicles were seen damaged at an intersection.
No comment has been made by the NSA.
