Turkish police shot two attackers outside its headquarters Wednesday, killing one of the assailants and capturing the other, AFP and Reuters reported.
Two officers were injured and the other attacker escaped but was caught soon after armed militants tried to infiltrate the police headquarters in Istanbul, according to AFP. Reuters said police sealed off the street in the central Aksaray neighborhood.
The threat comes a day after a public prosecutor in Istanbul was fatally wounded after militants had taken him hostage in his office.
