The Omani police force has arrested 177 people who entered the country illegally through various governorates and regions, reported the official Omani news agency (ONA).
A police official said that “136 of these infiltrators were arrested in the Batinah region, 15 in Wusta Region, 13 in Dhofar Governorate, 10 in Dhahirah region, and three in Musandam Governorate.”
The source pointed out that 113 arrestees were Pakistanis, eight Iranians, 26 Afghanis, 15 Yemenis, nine Somalis, two Ethiopians, and two Bengalis. The nationalities of two of them were unknown – Albawaba.com
