The Omani government plans to invest $80 million in developing infrastructure for a proposed free zone in the southern port city of Salalah, reported the Gulf Daily News on Monday.
The government will provide the basic infrastructure, while Salalah Free Zone Company will construct the buildings, said Jack Helton, the project's manager.
"We are hopeful that a concession agreement will be signed soon, which will allow us to commence work in the fourth quarter this year," Helton said - Albawaba.com
