Oman has intensified its campaign to combat drug trafficking and announced the establishment of a special anti-drug squad, reported the Gulf News Monday.
The paper said that drug trafficking has increased notably in the Gulf state during the past few years.
Meanwhile, a Pakistani was sentenced Sunday to a 20-year imprisonment for drug trafficking in the sultanate, reported Oman News Agency (ONA).
