Oman Due to Sign $52m Deal to Purchase three Boeings

Oman Air will sign Wednesday a 52-million-dollar-aircraft leasing agreement with the American ILFC Company, reported the Oman Observer newspaper.  

The agreement will allow Oman Air to acquire two B-737-700 and one B-737-800.  

The B-737-700 aircraft is configured for 12 business class passengers and 114 economy class passengers and B-737-800 is configured for 12 business class passengers and 158 economic passengers. 

The airliner’s general director, Abdurrahman bin Harith al Busaidi, said the signing of the agreement is part of an earlier deal with the Boeing Company and leasing company ILFC to acquire five B-737NG aircraft, which will be a mix of leased and owned aircraft (Four B-737-700 and one B-737-800). 

He said the fleet will offer the carrier the opportunity to enlarge network schedules and frequency – Albawaba.com
